Step 3: Notify your insurance company
It is important to inform your insurance company about the accident and damage as soon as possible. Failure to inform them within the first few days could be a reason for turning down your claim. The insurer will request you to send the police report through your email, and the policy number, which can be taken from your car registration card. Based on your policy, your insurance company guides you on the further course of action.
Once the claim is submitted, you will receive an SMS providing the claim reference number and contact details of the workshop for service as per your policy coverage. Follow the instructions provided by the insurance agent for repairing the vehicle.
